Welcome to Options Employment Outreach Inc.

Options Employment Outreach is a non-profit agency serving the Greater Saint John area. For over ten years, we have helped hundreds of people with disabilities to build successful career strategies and find employment opportunities within the Saint John area.

A team of specialized employment counsellors will work with you, one-on-one, to make career decisions and find employment opportunities that work for you.


Who We Help

Since 1996, we have offered one-on-one career development and employment counselling for those living with a disability. Our team of professionals are highly trained in working effectively with:

  • Physical disabilities
  • Deaf and hard of hearing
  • Emotional or psychological disabilities
  • Learning disabilities with comorbid (other) conditions
Essentially, we help anyone who faces challenges in obtaining employment due to the above specified disabilities.

How We Help

We offer a wide range of services for our clients. Working with individuals one-on-one to improve skills and job readiness, leading them to eventual employment opportunities. From r?sum? writing and job interview skill development to adapting the workplace to meet your needs - we work with you through it all. Other services include:

  • Career decision making 
  • Job-readiness skills development 
  • R?sum? preparation 
  • Interview techniques 
  • Job survival skills 
  • Job search coaching 
  • Assist with government funded programs for education and employment regarding accommodation and accessibility
  • Transition planning
  • Referrals to post-secondary education

We have the experience, the tools and a wide range of resources to help each of our clients succeed.

In The Community

Employment counselling isn't all we do here at Options. We also work hard in the community to promote the hiring of persons with disabilities through raising public awareness. We also assist in accessibility consultations for our clients in the workplace, support Disability Awareness Week including employer related events, and also host an online community forum. And

  • Simply Good Catering: a catering company comprised of mental health clients who provide mouth watering meals and goodies - to view their menu and order these delightful treats please visit SimplyGoodCatering.ca.
  • The Consumer Gazette: a monthly newsletter published by mental health clients for mental health clients and service providers to keep them up to date on system changes and processes to what is going on in the community and beyond.
